Shantel Bolks a young singer, guitar player and songwriter from Sioux Falls, South Dakota has been playing music most of her young life. She describes her music as Acoustic Folk. In her words her influences are, "Bright Eyes, Cat Power, Kings of Leon, Ani DiFranco, Kerry Leatham, Incubus, Cocorosie, -Misfits, Cancerslugs, Mindless-Self-Indulgence and Rancid collectively- Be Your Own Pet, First Aid Kit, Johnny Cash, Jazz Music". A little of this and a little of that, along with observation of the world around her, insight and emotional responses to her experiences. |
